PUA 5308 - MPA Seminar

Description

Integrates the theoretical constructs and methodological tools that students have learned throughout the public administration program. Students apply theory to practice and evaluate the usefulness of technology in a public sector context. Students develop a final project based on current and near future technological innovation and evaluate the usefulness of the technological innovation to enhancing the service provision of a governmental or nonprofit organization or agency.

Outcomes

  1. Critique theories to effectively execute the mission and goals in public organizations.
  2. Evaluate issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in public service organizations.
  3. Differentiate functions of domestic and international public organizations in various democracies around the world.
  4. Evaluate challenges of crafting public policies in a participatory government.
  5. Assess public administration scholarship.
  6. Discuss the technological challenges facing public service organizations.
  7. Explore major career development challenges public managers face in the field of public administration.
  8. Formulate solutions to real-world problems in public administration.
