Description

Introduces students to the concepts of information system fundamentals, systems analysis and design methods, database design and modeling, structured query language, crime analysis and geographic information systems, and computer law.

Outcomes

1. Analyze the use of technology in the criminal justice system.
2. Ascertain the use of technology with American policing.
3. Evaluate the use of technology in the detection of crime.
4. Examine the extent to which technology is used to protect citizens and victims.
5. Assess the extent to which technology is used to manage correctional populations.
