Microsoft Resources

Your account has been upgraded and we are pleased to now provide email as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and OneDrive to all active students. This page will provide you with additional information on how to access and configure the new resources.


 

 

 



Logging into the Student Portal with your Microsoft Student Account

1.      Access the portal by opening your web browser and navigating to https://mycsu.columbiasouthern.edu.

        Enter your email address and click Continue.

2.     You will be redirected to the CSU Microsoft Login Page where you will enter your new Username and select Next

3.      Enter your Login Password and click Sign In.

4.      If your User Name and Password is successfully authenticated, you will get the following window and be authenticated through your Microsoft Authenticator App ( configuration instructions below ).

5.      The Microsoft Authentication App will redirect you to the portal.

Configuring Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your Microsoft Student Account

1.      When logging into the student portal for the first time following your account upgrade you will be prompted to setup MFA on your account.

2.      Select Next. You will be prompted to download the Microsoft Authenticator App.


Please Note: This process requires you to download the Microsoft Authenticator application on your cellular phone from either the Google Play store for Android, or the Apple App Store for Apple iOS devices.

3.      Once you have successfully downloaded the Microsoft Authenticator App on your mobile device, open the app  and select Next in your browser window.

4.     On your mobile device, select Scan a QR Code

5.      The QR Code Scanner will allow you to scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.

6.      Once your mobile device has accepted the QR Code,Enter this number on your Microsoft Authenticator App to complete the pairing.

7.      You will receive a confirmation that the authenticator has been setup successfully!

Accessing and Installing MS Office 365

1.      Open your web browser and navigate to https://www.microsoft365.com/

2.      After signing in, The MS Office 365 homepage should appear. From the homepage, you can access the Office Suite from the web, including your email in Outlook. Documents you have saved previously can be found in the My Content menu item.

3.      In addition to accessing Office through the web, you can download the Microsoft Office Suite to your desktop or laptop by selecting the Install Apps option in the top right.

4.      Choosing Microsoft 365 Apps will prompt you for a save location for the Microsoft Office installer.

Accessing  Student Email Account

 


1.      You can access your student email account by logging into the Microsoft Office 365 portal at https://www.microsoft365.com/ and selecting the Outlook icon in the left-hand menu.

2.      You will be logged into your CSU student mailbox.

Accessing  files stored in Microsoft 365

 


1.      You can access all files you stored in Microsoft 365 selecting My Content
